The Setlist Blog
Longer, plain-language guides to cannabis in Michigan: how to read the label on the package, how long an edible takes, what the different forms of flower are, and what to expect on your first visit. For quick answers about the shop itself, see the FAQ.

Five words that show up in every track
A quick glossary if you'd rather skim than read all four articles start to finish.
- Onset
- How long it takes to feel anything at all — instant for smoked or vaped forms, 30–90 minutes for edibles.
- Duration
- How long the effects last once they've kicked in.
- Total THC
- The potency number printed on every legal Michigan package, in a percentage or milligrams.
- Serving size
- For edibles, the milligram amount in a single labeled piece — not the whole package.
- Seed to sale
- Michigan's tracking system, following a package from the grower to our register.

No hype. No health claims. Just the plain-language version.
Why we wrote a reading room instead of a sales pitch
This blog does not diagnose, treat, or promise a feeling. It explains what Michigan's Cannabis Regulatory Agency puts on a package, what the industry means by "onset" and "duration," and what the different forms of flower actually are — general information, written the way we'd explain it across the counter.

Track 01
The one page to bookmark: reading a Michigan label
Every legal package sold in Michigan has to carry the same basics — potency numbers, a serving size, a warning statement, and a path back to the lab that tested it. Once you know where to look, any package on the menu reads the same way.
It's the densest track and the most useful one. Everything else on this blog builds on it.
Why the label matters
Michigan-tested. Labeled. Tracked from seed to sale
Lab tested
Licensed Michigan cannabis is tested for potency and contaminants before it's allowed on a shelf.
Plainly labeled
THC/CBD content, serving size, and the required warning statements print right on the package.
Seed to sale
Michigan's tracking system follows a package from the grower to the register — and to our license, AU-R-001565.
